Traditional on-site server configurations require a considerable amount of expertise to manage as well as a number comprehensive fail safe mechanisms to minimise downtime. These fail safe mechanisms may include fail-over servers, UPSs, diesel backup generators, off-site disaster recovery (DR) solutions and off-site backup solutions. In addition to the implementation of these fail safe mechanism, they also need to be regularly tested to ensure they are working correctly. The implementation and maintenance of these fail safe mechanisms is not only very costly, but also hugely time consuming to manage, test and service.

With a cloud-based solution you avoid all of these upfront and on-going costs. Virtual disks, memory and CPUs don't fail and you can add or remove components as required without any downtime.

We can supply cloud-based solutions using our hosting partners Blacknight or Windows Azure.

Blacknight's cloud offering runs on Dell Blade servers and ensures a green energy footprint. Each blade server comes fully loaded with 128GB of Low Voltage DIMMs and 4 x 8 Core AMD Processors. Blacknight utilise the latest in Fluid Data from Dell Compellent for the SAN providing 80Gbit/s of SAN connectivity back to the Blade network. Each Server has 20Gbit/s of backbone connectivity to the storage network giving unparalleled performance compared to other hosting providers.
