JGPL specialises in power semiconductors components and accessories which are used in applications such as motor control, traction, UPS, power generation, induction heating, welding, wind-power and electric vehicles. As distributors and agents for some of the world's leading manufacturers in this field, they required an IT system which was able to cope the demands of today's marketplace as well as their specific requirements. With large lead-times for stock, which arrives from the US, Japan and China, and customers requesting JIT (just in time) deliveries within the UK and Ireland, an ERP/CRM system capable of carefully managing stock, purchasing, customers, sales and deliveries was required. To meet these needs, Inventise deployed a lightly customised version of Inventise Encompass eFinancials which as well as looking after the purchasing, sales and stock also takes care of all the financial needs of the company. In addition, Inventise were able to provide migration of data from the legacy system to Encompass allowing the new system to be seamlessly implemented. JGPL are also hoping to deploy Inventise Encompass eCommerce to allow customers to check delivery and shipment information on-line in real-time.
